The region from Alicante up to Denia on the South East coast of Spain is referred to as Costa Blanca North. The magnificent mountains in this area roll down to the superb coastline which takes in the towns of Denia, Moreira, Altea, Caple through to Benidorm with their Blue flag beaches and along to Alicante.
This is one of the more expensive areas for purchasing property but the views (both mountain and Coast) are just spectacular.
As with most regions in this part of Spain the culture has very much a Moorish influence with fine churches and buildings. However this coastline has changed little over the years with small fishing villages still in existence but the influx of tourism has enabled the area to become a haven for people of all nationalities to establish themselves in Spain.

Tourism to the area is high and the facilities range from fully equipped villas with private pools to the “all inclusive” packages in Benidorm and beyond.
Restaurants are in abundance with every type of food being served. The port of Alicante offers the unique opportunity of visiting North Africa with frequent sailings to Morocco and beyond. Visit some of the Spanish villages like Finistad and Guadalest nestling in the mountains with its waterfalls and national parks. Take time to enjoy the fiestas which are prominent all year round. The major cities of Alicante and Valencia are very close and offer a shopping experience of a lifetime. High speed rail services from Alicante to Madrid and Barcelona are frequent and comparatively inexpensive compared to UK train travel.
There are outdoor markets every day of the week and lots of sunshine, even in the months of May and October. In total around 320 days of sunshine per year. A great deal of activities including championship golf courses, marinas or just a good quality beach to laze away those hours.
